Being at the helm of designwest has certainly not always been easy and every day I learn a new trick in business. Watching it grow over the years along with some of the truly amazing work we have created has made it all worthwhile. No two days are ever the same and I can honestly say I never dread coming to work.

Philip Rafferty is a freelance 3D and 2D motion graphics artist. After graduating with first-class honors in Visual Communication Design Philip worked for a number of leading Irish design houses, including Image Now Consultants and Dynamo. Since 2001 he has lived in worked in the west of Ireland and worked both independently and on collaborative projects. His role is the origination of concepts, pre-visualising through to animation, motion graphics and compositing. When possible he loves to surf the local breaks around Lahinch, Co. Clare.

I am a Graphic Designer with over 10 years of experience. Design is my passion and I always try to deliver unique designs with high quality and amazing service. My area of expertise is graphic design for printing & publishing.

I am an Animator with over 8 years of experience. Bringing ideas to life is my passion and I always try to deliver unique animations high end quality and a smile 🙂 My areas of Expertise are Character Animations, 2d Explainer Videos, infographics and Whiteboards Animations.

My journey with graphic design started in 2005 and this is my true passion.
I have experience working with large scale print, digital, video editing, animation projects.

I always like to consider myself a really creative person, and working as a graphic designer has been a great opportunity to let that flourish. I've been happily doing this for 3 years, working on large and small projects for all sorts of clients for print digital designs, and I'm always looking for a new challenge and seeing where the next years in this industry brings me

Amy is a freelance copywriter based in Co. Sligo.

She developed a love of writing in childhood, which grew during her time training as a primary school teacher. She went on to study copywriting through the Comprehensive Copywriting Academy.

Amy’s most frequent project is website copy (text), helping clients to explain and promote their product or service. She also writes email newsletters, LinkedIn posts, blog posts and more.

In recent years, she’s written for a broad spectrum of clients, including a kids’ online cookery club, a world-famous outdoor adventure brand, construction companies, and many more. She has also had some of her creative writing (short stories) published in The People’s Friend magazine.

When she’s not writing copy or spending time with her young family, Amy enjoys kayaking, sean nós dancing and playing the concertina.
