Gaffco Ballistics — A
Premium WordPress Redesign by Motion Monsters

The Client

Gaffco Ballistics has been a leader in security solutions since 1986. Based in Vermont, the company designs and manufactures ballistic and forced-entry resistant systems for residential, commercial, financial, and government applications — and has done so for four decades across more than 30 countries.

Their client list tells its own story. The Norwegian Government, the United States Secret Service, the Federal Reserve Bank, the United Nations Building, the New York Stock Exchange, American Express, Deutsche Bank, Morgan Stanley, Columbia University, the Port Authority of New York and New Jersey, and NBC Studios are among the organisations that have trusted Gaffco with their security infrastructure.

The core philosophy is one of invisible strength: delivering the highest levels of ballistic, blast, and forced-entry protection without disrupting the architecture or aesthetics of the environments being protected. Bullet-resistant glass that looks like standard glazing. Hardened doors that read as premium interior design. Protection built in, not bolted on.

That philosophy demanded a website to match.

The Brief

The objective was clear: modernise Gaffco's digital presence to reflect the authority, precision, and visual calibre of the brand itself. A company protecting heads of state, financial institutions, and critical infrastructure cannot be represented by an underperforming website. The brief required a design that communicated strength through restraint — premium, calm, and technically credible from the first visit.

The project scope covered:

  • Full website redesign and redevelopment — premium visual direction, clean architecture, and a user experience built for two distinct audiences: architects and security professionals requiring technical specification detail, and high-net-worth residential and commercial clients making significant security investment decisions
  • Brand philosophy alignment — the design language throughout reflects the "Invisible Strength" positioning: confident, considered, and authoritative without being aggressive
  • Product specifications — detailed, accessible breakdowns of bullet-resistant products including specific ballistic protection levels (UL 752 standards) for aluminium doors, wood assemblies, wall panels, and entry systems
  • Completed Projects archive — a dedicated section showcasing real-world installations across residential, financial, and government environments
  • Case studies — strategic additions to demonstrate real-world problem-solving and project capability to architects, specifiers, and procurement teams
  • Resource library — direct integration of Gaffco's full brochure suite, downloadable by product category: ballistic wall panels, forced-entry resistant protection systems, residential exterior and interior doors, and residential windows
  • Photography update — a rigorous replacement of all placeholder assets with authentic Gaffco project imagery, ensuring every visual on the site reflects the actual standard of work

The Process

The development ran through July and August 2026 as a highly iterative, detail-led process. The Gaffco team — Jason, Tom, and Siobhan — worked closely with the Motion Monsters design and development team throughout, with a consistent focus on getting the copy professionally articulated and the content fully buttoned-up before public launch.

The tone established during the design phase — premium and calm — was maintained as a non-negotiable throughout. Every content decision, every layout refinement, and every photography selection was evaluated against that standard. The site moved from staging through to a successful go-live in mid-August 2026.

The platform is WordPress with Elementor, giving Gaffco a flexible, maintainable system capable of evolving with the business — including future case study additions, product updates, and content expansion — without ongoing developer dependency.

What Was Built

Homepage

The homepage opens with an animated logo reveal and a full-screen hero — "Global Security Solutions. A Better Way to Secure Homes and Workplaces" — immediately establishing scale and authority. Navigation is deliberately minimal: Who We Are and What We Do, with a hamburger menu keeping the interface uncluttered.

The homepage moves visitors through a structured journey:

  • Who We Are — three entry points: Our Approach, Our Experience, Our Knowledge, each linking to dedicated inner pages
  • CEO mission statement — Tom Gaffney's direct statement of purpose: delivering ballistic and attack-resistant products of the highest quality to protect clients, families, employees, and property
  • What We Do — clear service navigation: Bullet Resistant Systems, Safe Rooms, Ballistic Armor, Bullet Resistant Products, Security Risk Assessments and Safe Space Design
  • Our Experience — animated counters: 40+ years of trusted service, 30+ countries protected, 100% commitment to quality
  • Client logo strip — the full roster of government bodies, financial institutions, and major corporations served over four decades
  • Resources — downloadable brochure library, product-categorised and immediately accessible
  • Contact — clean form with direct phone and email

Who We Are

Three inner pages — Our Approach, Our Experience, Our Knowledge — build the credibility architecture behind the brand:

Our Approach maps the five-stage delivery process: Strategy, Design, Manufacture, Installation Management, Project Completion. A visual flow that communicates both capability and process discipline to the architects and project managers who need to specify Gaffco's systems within complex builds.

Our Experience articulates four decades of working across high-end residential safe rooms, financial institution environments, and critical government infrastructure — across 30+ countries and in security climates that have changed significantly over that period.

Our Knowledge positions Gaffco as a trusted technical resource, not just a supplier — an organisation whose depth of expertise across ballistic disciplines makes them the right partner at specification stage, not just at procurement.

What We Do

Individual service pages for each core offering:

  • Bullet Resistant Systems — bullet-proof and proof walls, doors, windows, and structural systems designed for maximum ballistic protection
  • Safe Rooms — residential and commercial safe room design and installation
  • Ballistic Armor — personal and structural armour solutions
  • Bullet Resistant Products — full product range with specification detail
  • Security Risk Assessments and Safe Space Design — consultancy and strategic security planning

Completed Projects

A portfolio archive presenting real-world Gaffco installations across sectors and environments — the evidence layer that supports every claim made elsewhere on the site.

Resource Library

Five downloadable brochures integrated directly into the homepage:

  • Gaffco Brochure: Ballistic Wall Panels 2026
  • Gaffco Corporate Ballistic Forced Entry Resistant Protection Systems 2026
  • Gaffco Brochure: Residential Doors, Exterior
  • Gaffco Brochure: Residential Doors, Interior
  • Gaffco Brochure: Residential Windows, Exterior

Each presented with a product image and direct download link — giving architects and specifiers immediate access to the technical documentation they need to incorporate Gaffco systems into project specifications.

The Result

The new gaffco.com does what the brief required: it matches the authority of the company it represents.

A business that has protected the Federal Reserve, the Norwegian Government, and the United Nations for four decades deserves a digital presence that communicates that standing without having to announce it. The site achieves that through restraint — clean architecture, controlled visual language, precise content, and a user experience that respects the intelligence of the professionals using it.

For architects and security specifiers, the site delivers the technical depth and downloadable resources to support a specification decision. For residential and commercial clients, it builds confidence through demonstrated expertise, a credible project archive, and a clear, direct path to consultation.

The phased content and photography process — running through July and August with the Gaffco team — ensured that every element on the live site is authentic, accurate, and reflective of the actual standard of work Gaffco delivers.

Frequently Asked Questions

Gaffco Ballistics — A Premium WordPress Redesign by Motion Monsters

Gaffco Ballistics is a US-based security solutions company founded in 1986. They design and manufacture ballistic and forced-entry resistant systems — including bullet-resistant doors, windows, wall panels, and safe rooms — for residential, commercial, financial, and government clients across more than 30 countries. Their client roster includes the US Secret Service, the Federal Reserve Bank, the Norwegian Government, the United Nations, and the New York Stock Exchange.

The primary objective was to modernise Gaffco's digital presence so it reflected the authority, precision, and quality of the brand itself. The previous website was not performing at the level a company of Gaffco's standing requires. The new site needed to communicate credibility immediately — to architects and security specifiers requiring technical detail, and to residential and commercial clients making significant security investment decisions.

The site was built on WordPress using Elementor as the page builder. This gives Gaffco a flexible, maintainable platform they can manage and expand going forward — adding case studies, updating product specifications, and publishing new project work — without ongoing developer dependency.

The project covered full website redesign and redevelopment with premium visual direction, product specification pages structured for architects and security professionals, a downloadable resource library with five technical brochures, a Completed Projects archive, a strategic case study framework, and a comprehensive photography update replacing all placeholder assets with authentic Gaffco project imagery.

The active development and refinement phase ran through July and August 2026, with the site going live in mid-August 2026. The timeline reflected the iterative, detail-led process required to get the content professionally articulated and every visual asset verified before public launch.

The Gaffco team comprised Jason, Tom Gaffney (CEO), and Siobhan. They worked closely with the Motion Monsters design and development team throughout — reviewing content, refining copy, approving photography, and signing off each stage before the site moved from staging to live.

Gaffco operates in a specialist, high-stakes environment where credibility is everything. The site serves two technically demanding audiences simultaneously: architects and security specifiers who need UL 752 ballistic protection level data and downloadable product brochures to complete a specification, and private and institutional clients who need to develop trust in a company they are entrusting with their security. Standard templates and generic design approaches are not adequate for either audience — the site required a bespoke, premium build from the ground up.

The Resource Library is a section of the homepage that gives architects, specifiers, and clients direct download access to Gaffco's full suite of technical product brochures — covering ballistic wall panels, forced-entry resistant protection systems, residential exterior and interior doors, and residential windows. Making this documentation immediately accessible reduces friction for professionals who need specification data to move a project forward.

Yes. The Gaffco Ballistics project demonstrates the team's ability to handle technically complex, high-authority client briefs across specialist sectors. Motion Monsters has the capability to build premium WordPress websites for clients in security, government, financial services, construction, and other industries where technical precision and brand authority are non-negotiable requirements.

The process is collaborative and iterative from the start. Complex technical content — product specifications, ballistic protection levels, compliance data — is worked through directly with the client team to ensure accuracy and clarity before anything goes live. The Motion Monsters team handles the design and development while the client provides the specialist knowledge, with structured review stages throughout to keep the project on track and the content precise.

A redesign updates the visual direction and user experience of an existing site — new layouts, updated branding, improved navigation — while retaining the existing platform and structure where possible. A rebuild starts from the foundation: new platform setup, new architecture, new content structure, and new visual direction. The Gaffco project was a full rebuild — the scope required a clean start to deliver the premium, authoritative result the brand demanded.

The starting point is a conversation. Motion Monsters works with businesses across New Jersey and the wider US market to deliver premium WordPress websites built around specific business objectives — whether that is lead generation, credibility building, specification support, or all three.
